Naples Foodies Win Again
Naples is by far one of the best places to visit and live in Florida for the true “foodie”. Our town continues to be a destination for people from all over the world seeking the best of the best. TripAdvisor has named Brooks Gourmet Burgers and Dogs in Naples as one of the Top 10 burger restaurants in the U.S. — for the second year in a row. This was the only restaurant in Florida to receive the award two times in two years.
TripAdvisor compiled the latest list after weighing the quantity, quality and ratio of reviews on burger joints in the U.S. posted on its travel website over an 18-month time period. It’s based on millions of reviews and opinions. The Top 10 ranking is good advertising according to Jack Wert, executive director of the Naples, Marco Island, Everglades Convention and Visitors Bureau as it continues to promote the outstanding culinary offering in the area.
Formerly known as Lindburgers, the Brooks have owned the restaurant for about five years. Located just north of Fifth Avenue South, off Ninth Street South, the restaurant offers a wide variety of burgers, including turkey and veggie ones, along with Vienna Beef hot dogs, soups, and salads. It also sells beer, wine and milkshakes. The couple revamped everything after taking over and created some new favorites including a half-pounder with cheese and bacon on two grilled glazed doughnuts and Sandra’s hottie burger, with herbed cream cheese, spicy jalapeños, bacon, grilled onions and provolone. It is definitely worth the calories to visit Brooks Gourmet Burgers and Dogs in Naples when you are in town.
