Back-to-School Benefit
The entire team at Gulf Coast International Properties (GCIP), contributed to the success of the local back-to-school event held by Project Outreach again this year. Thousands of dollars and many hours of time were donated to this local community organization.
Project Outreach organizes volunteer-based projects in the community to teach youth about giving. Having some fun before school started and the community helping the less fortunate was the theme of their back-to-school event. Director Julie Thomas, her staff and many volunteers spent months preparing for the event, in partnership with Life Christian Church. This is the second year for the event where 300 backpacks filled with school supplies were given out and 25 hairstylists volunteered their time to give haircuts. Bikes for Tykes generously donated 10 bikes that were also given away. There was also game and play areas set up for the children and all were treated to food from the barbeque and cold drinks. A fun time was had by all. Please find Project Outreach on facebook at http://on.fb.me/ProjectOutreach?
