Who doesn’t need this in our busy day-to-night schedules these days? Naples Illustrated first introduced me to these Finding Zen meditation apps. These smartphone apps make it very easy to accomplish your goals even if you only have five minutes a day to spare. Research continues to show the importance of making some personal time for yourself to live a healthier, more peaceful and productive long life.

Mindfulness: This app comes outfitted with numerous silent and guided meditations, plus you can set up reminders to meditate at specific times, locations and days of the week.

Headspace: A subscription service that you can test for free, Headspace allows you to learn the basics of meditation for 10 minutes a day over 10 days. Love it? Subscribe for countless meditations, and even a special series that allow you to focus on health, performance or relationships. You can also track progress and keep stats on yourself and friends using the service.

Simply Being: Aptly named, this simple app offers guided meditations from five to 30 minutes, including a choice of music or nature sounds. Just two clicks and you’re off to a state of inner peace.
