Downtown Naples Receives Coveted Award
Those of you that live in Naples or have visited here know just how special Fifth Avenue South is. It has just received TripAdvisor's Certificate of Excellence for the second year in a row. The Certificate of Excellence honors accommodations, attractions, and restaurants that consistently receive high reviews for a certain volume of reviews received. Fifth Avenue South is known as Naples’ “Main Street” and combines a community feel of a historic main street with the sophistication of a world-class destination. Six blocks of the finest in dining, shopping, local theatre and arts are within walking distance to the Gulf beaches. Everything from an ice cream cone to a luxury yacht may be purchased here.
To be eligible, a business must maintain an overall rating of four or higher (out of five), as reviewed by travelers on TripAdvisor. As of Thursday afternoon, 5th Avenue South has received 1,166 reviews, 696 of which gave an “Excellent” rating and 368 of which gave a “Very Good” rating.
Fifth Avenue South is also rated No. 1 of 27 top shopping spots in Naples. In second is Waterside Shops, which also received a Certificate of Excellence. At one time Naples was limited as to the type and quality of shops that they had, which is no longer the case with some smaller locally-owned boutiques to internationally recognized brands all just waiting for you to seek them out.
