Concerts in Cambier Park
If you are love music and are looking for something free to do then head to Cambier Park onSaturday afternoons through September to tap your feet along with the Naples Jazzmasters Dixieland Jazz musicians. From minstrel shows, ragtime, and the blues, Dixieland Jazz erupted from New Orleans during the first World War, spurring on the Jazz Age and the Roaring Twenties with its toe-tapping tunes. And though Dixieland saw waning popularity as Big Band, modern jazz, Rock and Roll, and R&B hit their strides, this early jazz lives on with verve and finger-snapping beat. Join the Naples Jazzmasters Dixieland Band at the Norris Center every Saturday throughout the summer for a celebration of this early American music.
